Don't you just love rainy days (this from a guy who is heading away camping with the family this afternoon) go figure....

We don't have any shoots booked today but I love shooting in these conditions, especially when the parents let the kids do what kids love doing.... jumping, splashing, laughing & having fun... & awesomely getting dirty....

If you don't have any shots like this of your kids, I encourage you, this afternoon when you pick the kids up from school rather than them sitting in front of the telly or DS, grab your camera, a few changes of cloths, find some puddles & let your kids cut loose....

About 6 months ago I was at our local Woolies, I was doing our shopping with our daughter Brie, this is when I first saw Ayisha. I noticed this wild mop of hair framing an amazing little face..

It is extremely, extremely rare for me to approach anyone & let them know I am a photographer, but this was one of those rare occasions, I introduced myself to Janine, Ayisha Mum, & explained that I had a studio & photographed alot of kids (yep...probably sounds a little creepy... ) & I would love to photograph her daughter...

Janine checked us out & we finally organised a shoot last week for Ayisha & her brother Montel....

Old caravans, wood heaps, rope swings, burnt out tree trunks were just a few of the options we had to choose from as backgrounds at the family property, we have had the pleasure of photographing these 3 fashion Divas a few years ago, the girls had lots of clothing options laid out, & were so excited about the shoot (particularly Samara !! she was sooooo excited ...)

We had a beautiful morning catching up & updating the girls portraits, our thanks to Sandie, Keith, Kirsten, Samara & Sherriden, such a beautiful family.

The birth of your first child is a time of unbelievable mixed emotions, a beautiful time of wonder, we were pleased to capture a few images that Lauren will have to remember this magical time...

We shot some stunning images in the studio then wandered over the road to the vacant block of land that had a perfect covering of clover ( bees were a little of a concern) but Kara did a great job fussing over Lauren & fending off bees...
